According to the Center for Science in the Public Interest, the salt in packaged foods is our biggest killer. I would say that packaged foods are our biggest killer–they contain not only salt, but preservatives, dyes, stabilizers, modified foods, etc., and none of those are “food”. Avoid packaged foods.
