Stress and your immune system

Another reason to practice stress reduction regularly:  researchers are finding scientific evidence linking stress with immune activation.  While this is a good thing when we are ill or injured, immune activation is bad if there is no real event.  We end up with chemicals (called cytokines) in circulation without need.  As a result, we are in a state of inflammation.  So practice those relaxation techniques–deep breathing, meditation, gentle exercise, etc.–and eat your colorful fruits and veggies!  Read more here.
