So many of us are not drinking enough water! Dehydration can cause a myriad of problems including headaches, constipation, muscle pain, and more. A general rule of thumb is to drink one-half your body weight in ounces (i.e., for someone weighing 150 pounds, daily consumption of 75 ounces is recommended). If you have kidney disease, please check with your doctor first. It is especially easy to become dehydrated during the summer when temperatures rise and we also tend to become more active. You should also “budget” for more water if you consume caffeine or alcohol. Drink up!–water that is!! 🙂
