The WHO recently posted that outdoor air pollution is the leading cause of cancer worldwide. In addition, we have learned that because of off-gassing from our upholstery, carpet, etc., indoor air pollution can be worse for us than outdoor pollution. What to do?? Well, fortunately in the USA we do have some emissions requirements–while they may be woefully insufficient, if you’ve traveled around the world you’ve seen much worse conditions. And, to protect yourself, keep your body as healthy as possible–fresh fruits and vegetables, eat only naturally-raised meats, exercise, avoid sugar and artificial sweeteners, avoid preservatives, avoid using pesticides and herbicides in your yard, don’t use dryer sheets or commercial air-fresheners, enjoy a fulfilling hobby, nourish your spirit, and get plenty of sleep.
