Although it has been around for years now, athletes are now promoting alkalinizing as a way to improve work-out performance. The standard American diet (SAD) is primarily an acidic one–woefully shy of vegetables and fruits.  So now, alkalinizing supplements are becoming the fad.  Here is a recent article.  Please, stick to improving the amount and quality of your fruits and veggies in your diet, instead of investing in these supplements.  In this way, you are maintaining a healthy environment, not just while exercising.
