CNN reports a recall on popular children’s vitamins that didn’t meet their claims of ingredients. This is not an uncommon problem amongst over-the-counter supplements. Bargain shopping, too, is a problem. I recommend either sticking to certain brands–some of which are available over-the-counter and others available only through health care providers. Good over-the-counter brands including Vitanica, Oregon’s Wild Harvest, Carlson, Nordic Naturals, HerbPharm, and Boiron.
