We have long-known that folic acid is important, particularly during the first weeks of pregnancy. This research is indicating a reduction in the risk of autism, too. If you are planning on getting pregnant, please start your prenatal vitamins and ensure enough folic acid in your diet, too (lots of leafy greens–i.e., “foliage”).
