E supplementation has recently been linked to increased risk of prostate cancer in men–at just 400 IU daily.  The report states that when selenium was included, there was no increase in cancer rates.  Supplements should be customized to individual needs; and care must be taken to ensure quality and appropriate forms of supplemental nutrition.  Click here for the article on Vitamin E and prostate cancer.  Click here for information on supplementation approach from AANP.
