Wired to Crave Sugar (and salt, too)

The very genetic composition that allows us to survive may now be killing us. We are designed to crave sugar and salt from birth–this is so that we eat, even foods that may not be so tasty. This includes picking apples and berries, digging up root vegetables, harvesting greens, etc. This mechanism doesn’t work so well in a world with “Twinkie-trees” and “French fry bushes” and “Cola pools”. Retrain those taste buds for fresh fruits and veggies. You’ll be surprised how truly sweet and scrumptious they are–and good for you, too!!! Here’s a recent article, too.
