Link Between Restless Sleep and Pneumonia in Children

Research is finding a link between restless sleep in children and the incidence of pneumonia.  Children with “snoring, restless sleep, stuffy nose, night breathing problems and daytime fatigue and irritability” were at in increased risk of pneumonia.  I have found that food allergies are a common cause of congestion and night breathing problems.  If your child has any of these symptoms, please schedule an appointment to assess whether or not food allergy testing could be helpful.  Improvements can even be made quickly with hydrotherapy or other simple changes.
