Memory and the Aging Brain

Although a recent study suggests that increased sleep does not improve memory in the elderly population, there are a number of other potential approaches to improving memory.  Treatments are customized based upon each individual but include goals of reducing inflammation (which has great overall health benefits) and improving neuronal health.  Whenever possible, maintenance of memory and brain health is optimal–i.e., start healthy brain habits early, especially if Alzheimer’s or dementia runs in your family.
