Triclosan–Associated with Cancer and Liver Disease

I have posted on the dangers of triclosan before, but wanted to pass along some additional information–Not only is it in toothpaste, but also in soaps and cleaning products. I just heard, too, that it may be in grapefruit seed extract!  Research continues to reveal adverse health effects of triclosan. Please avoid it and read more here.

Celery–To Reduce Blood Pressure

You’ve probably been hearing about this “new” craze of oil-pulling. It is actually an age-old technique used to improve oral health AND overall health. Some Schizophrenia May Be Linked With Parasites

Non-Sugar Halloween Treats!

So, you may cringe as much as I do about handing out Halloween candy. Here are some great ideas! One word of caution–do be careful about the small toys for younger children (choking hazard) and the potential toxicity of the plasticizers, etc, no matter what age. Delicious News! Chocolate Helps Memory!!

I just love when I can post some fun news!! For you chocolate lovers, please note that chocolate seems to improve memory! Do make sure that you are eating a high quality cocoa (Hershey’s kisses will not do). My current favorite is Green and Black’s 85% Dark. Yummy!!
